Catalyst Engineering regards Health, Safety and Welfare as the number one priority for all activities within the business.
It is the company’s policy to ensure that every business activity is planned, managed and executed in a manner such that all statutory duties are met, and wherever possible, exceeded.
It is the company’s aim to protect the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and others that may be affected by its operations as follows:
- Ensuring works are adequately and thoroughly planned to eliminate hazards, and establish safe systems of work
- Placing emphasis on health and safety at design stage allowing the ‘designing-out’ of potentially hazardous operations that may otherwise be encountered during manufacture or installation
- Providing appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision for employees to enable them to perform the work safely without risk to health, safety and welfare
- Ensuring sufficient resources are made available to allow health, safety and welfare to take precedence
- Providing and maintaining a safe workplace with safe access and egress along with the provision of safe and suitable plant, equipment and materials
- Providing adequate facilities and arrangements for employees’ welfare and well-being
- Continuing to promote a health and safety culture within the business.
Catalyst Engineering regards Health, Safety and Welfare as the number one priority for all activities within the business.
All members of our directly-employed and skilled workforce are holders of CSCS cards relevant to their particular skills/trade, and carry additional training comprising of IPAF certification, PASMA training, First Aid, Working at Height and CPCS plant operator certification.
Members of our supervision and management teams carry Health and Safety Management training in the form of SMSTS and/or IOSH certification.
Every activity we perform is subject to a specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement and supporting documents. These documents are draughted in-house by the relevant manager, and subject to approval by our Health and Safety Officer.
